Most people are reluctant to touch the inside of their piano and rightfully so. As robust and solid as it may appear, a piano has many delicate and delicately balanced parts that can be easily damaged. Although no special tools are necessary and no great physical effort required, I don’t recommend doing this yourself. It’s always safer to let a knowledgeable professional do this work.
